ALO (Americas Latin Orchestra), founded in 2007, evolved from the great bands Algo Latino and Latin Impulse, enjoyed for years by dancers and listeners alike. These singers and musicians now continue to entertain Latin music lovers with even more dynamic and challenging material.

Featuring internationally known artists and Grammy award winning arrangers, ALO is equally at home performing for the dance audience as well as entertaining on the concert stage. With a mixture of classic and modern repertoire, ALO is widely appealing to all audiences.

Dedicated to the performance and enrichment of Latin Music and Dance Culture, ALO shows consistently sizzle with energy and excitement. ALO’s unsurpassed five piece horn section take audiences to the edge on Salsa or Merengue, and lends a sexy, sassy feeling to Bolero and Cha Cha. The six piece rhythm section provides a driving force for this powerful ensemble. Add classic and sultry vocals and harmonies to the mix, and you have the signature sound that defines Americas Latin Orchestra!

Azucar is made of some of Pittsburgh's top freelance musicians with a beautifully talented knockout singer Indira Corales fronting the band.  Indira grew up in Chile and has the music in her bones. Having played hundreds of concerts and dances over the past 5 years Azucar always can be counted on to deliver every time.

Azucar released their first self-titled album in 2006 which consisted of 9 originals and one cover tune.  Azucar was also featured on the WQED 2005 Christmas Show "Live from Studio A" as well as several print articles.  Azucar is a full service Latin dance band playing the following styles: Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Reggaeton, Cha Cha Cha, Bachata, Latin Jazz, Rhumba, Bolero, and others.

Members of the band have played with such legendary musicians as Wynton Marsalis, Tony Bennett, the Temptations, and have opened for national acts such as Cuban Trumpet great Arturo Sandoval!
